Boat Tours Information

HikersPontoon boat trips last approximately one and a half hours depending on the weather and wind conditions. With an Audubon guide on each boat, you will visit several tree-top nesting sites along the lakeshore north of the state park where you are likely to see Great Blue Heron and/or Double-crested Cormorant nests. You will also see thousands of grebes in courtship displays on the lake, as well as other shorebirds and wildlife.

Older children are welcome, but we ask that you use discretion. Children age 8 or older should do fine. As long as children can sit relatively quietly and obey rules, they are welcome. The cost for the boat trip has no reduced price for children because they occupy the same space as an adult.
